G’day Autumn

Pretty excited about all the lovely golden tones around, both in the sky and on earth on the leaves :) Also, September has really proved to be THE month with the best sunsets of the year so far, another little big joy to be grateful for :)

Assez heureuse de toutes les belles tonalité dorées qu’il y a en cette période, dans le ciel ET sur terre avec les arbres qui commencent à ressentir l’automne qui arrive. En plus, Septembre a vraiment été LE mois parfait pour capturer les meilleurs couchers de soleil de l’année jusque là, donc voilà une autre petite grande joie qu’il faut apprécier :)

Ready, set, SHINE !

For me, the favorite way of photographing start with considering where the sun is and deciding how to make it shine across the scene, so as to enlighten a direction throughout the frame. What about you? What is the first thing you think about when taking a picture? Which setting do you consider the most fun to experiment with?

Personnellement, ma façon préférée de photographier commence par décider dans quelle manière et dans quelle direction le soleil va entrer dans la scène, pour en illuminer une direction précise. Et vous? Quel est le détail auquel vous pensez en premier lorsque vous composez une image? Quel réglage est le plus intéressant pour vous?

Gold from the sky

WARNING: if you are bored of (epic) end of summer sunsets you might want to skip this post (but I hope you won’t :D)

So yeh, I was out to walk my camera (which I love as much as a puppy :P ) … and then the sky turned golden :)

ATTENTION: si vous en avez marre des couchers de soleil (plutôt incontournables) de fin d’été vous devriez peut-être reconsidérer la vision de ce post (mais j’espère que vous allez rester :D)

Bon bah, j’étais là pour sortir la camera (que j’aime comme un chiot :P)…. et le ciel est devenu tout doré :)

Walk where the sun shines

Painting silver waves

Never seen the sea shining of such a crazy “liquid silver” tone before, it was quite of a show! And yes, it did look way more intense in real life than in photos… that’s the best I could achieve to realistically show you how the color was like that day :) Enjoy

Personnellement, la mer avec une tonalité d’argent si intense et étincelante c’est du jamais vu. J’ai trouvé ça pas mal comme spectacle. Et oui, c’était encore plus intense dans la réalité! J’espère que vous allez aimer :)

Diving into a new season

I wanted to share with you a few more images from Mandelieu La Napoule (which you might remember from this post) and its very irresistible empty beaches at the end of summer :) If this is what automn looks like, I embrace it :)

Home is where the palm trees are

It is no secret that I appreciate palm trees to the point of showing signs of a slight obsession. But honestly, can you blame me? :D Under every light and in every season, palms are like a little touch of happiness :) #borninthecityescapedtothesea
