NEW YORK, NY – Almost 6 months have gone by since my trip to New York and I simply can’t get over all the interesting details in every street. I keep reopening the archive and looking for more pics to edit, as with time going by every photo of New York seems to acquire a special meaning to me :) I have always been extremely curious to go and see what it really was all about and now with the Christmas season approaching (with NY being the set of about 90% of all the Christmas movies…) it’s time to watch Serendipity over and over again :P This year though, it is different to watch it because for the first time I have actually been there :) xx

NEW YORK, NY – That day on Top of the Rock!! :) For me, possibly the best experience in NY has been to go up the Rockefeller Center (the Empire State Building would do too) to see the view of the entire city from above… so crazy and charming! :) You can hear all the noises from the traffic, construction work, etc echoing up there, pretty funny… I wasn’t expecting this :) It really makes you think of how many people are out there doing their jobs, or rushing around, meeting someone, spending time with friends, …. so many lives, events and dreams intertwined among the streets of NY! xx

Strangely enough, this has been my first time visiting London…despite having been at Heathrow for connections A LOT of times. I finally compensated with a long holiday allowing me to discover so much of it. The charm of the city instantly got me and I came home with many great memories and quite a few souvenir buys too (well, you know me :D ). I am so happy of having tons of new pictures to share that I literally don’t know where to start from, so let’s begin with my favorite moment … the walk to the Big Ben :) Yes, because I walked to go pretty much everywhere except for the Shard building which was too far away from my place (panoramic pictures coming soon) and for taking a doubledecker bus the first day cause I was too excited to be there and it has been super fun. For all the rest of the time, the good traveller WALKS to places … it’s the best way to make sure you are not missing anything along the way in my opinion. Also, at the end of the day you really deserve that fish and chips. So here are my first London pics for the blog :) You might have already seen some on instagram and if you follow me there (@faithiephotography) you know there is so much more to come :) Enjoy xx

…I just want to walk down the street and feel this thing, like I’m in a movie.” ~Ryan Adams
I’m back from a short 4 days photo trip in NYC ! It was my first time in the USA, which makes me extremely happy to say I have now been to Europe, Australia, Asia AND America :) (At this stage I start feeling I should add a Cape Town trip to the travel wishlist to see a bit of Africa too :) ) So these are the first few pics of the streets of NYC that I have walked along these days :) The last day I was about to jump on the doubledecker bus to make sure I visited all the most important sites across the Downtown and Uptown Manhattan but when I read their guide I realised I had already walked across all the streets the bus goes to ….. so I think, a good traveller just KEEPS WALKING :)
Absolutely loved seeing the moon rise above the Empire State Building! Explore New York with me here :)
Images taken with Canon 6D + Tamron 70-300mm handheld … clearly not edited other than sharpening :)
