Wandering in Cannes: from the Croisette to Californie

Californie neighbourhood in Cannes

CANNES, FRANCE – Here is the second post about the beautiful walks (or even better, power walks!) that you can experience while in Cannes :) An interesting itinerary is to walk from the Croisette (ideally starting from the Palais des Festivals) to the Californie which is a very beautiful neighbourhood and be sure not to miss the Moure Rouge! :) Here’s a glimpse of what you’d see :)

Wandering in Cannes, the Vieux Port

the vieux port shops in Cannes, France

CANNES, FRANCE – Today I’m sharing a few images from CannesVieux Port area, which is one of my favorite places to be in town. The atmosphere here is extremely relaxed which makes it perfect for you if you feel like a little (or long!) walk in the sunshine, having a fresh beer/cocktail/juice in one of the cute little cafés and OF COURSE enjoying the moment thanks to the many photo opportunities all around you (very important!) :) Enjoy x

) :) Bisous

Summer & the city :)

Vespas and pink oleander in Southern France

CANNES, FRANCE – Walking around in the summer breeze under the hot sun while being surrounded by flower scent and pastel colors all around is a lovely, lovely way to spend a Saturday afternoon here in Southern France :) I still can’t get over those lilac Jacaranda trees, they are everywhere at the moment and I think they definetely deserve the title of cutest trees in the world together with the frangipanis :) These images are from yesterday evening in Cannes, enjoy xx

City of Nice

Nice's Place Massena

NICE, FRANCE – After the posts about Nice’s beach and the newly build green spine Promenade du Paillon, it’s time to get lost wandering around the city’s pretty streets, in particular the famous (and spectacular) Place Masséna.

I can’t get over the colourfulness of its buildings …they’re so bold! :)

On a blue sky day like this, you are gonna have to tone down the saturation or nobody is gonna believe it’s true :)

For an addict to colours like me, this is wonderland :D

Exploring London: Trafalgar Square day 1

London National Gallery with the temporary blue rooster sculpture

I have SO many pictues of Trafalgar Square! (yes, more … many more than in this blog post only, there is gonna be a part 2) :) I found it one of the most interesting and nice places to stay around while in London, it just vibrates energy to me with all those people moving around going places as well as the students and tourists just chilling on the stairs and around the fountain :) Also, I have been inside the National Gallery (which is FREE and was packed with visitors) and it has been pretty mindblowing. Apparently photography is now allowed inside of it in most areas but I just couldn’t convince myself to shoot inside, I guess I am too used to the kind of museum in which they want to kill you if they see you pointing a camera at something eheh. But I do think it’s a very good idea to let people freely take images and share some art online/with friends etc. What do you think? Hope you enjoy the pics :) xxx

Late summer vibes in Cannes: from the Croisette to the Casino

The Croisette at dusk

Calling all summer lovers who just don’t want the new season to sets in to come to the French Riviera ! :) Here are some images of yesterday’s dusk along the Croisette…. so hot it really doesn’t feel like September at all and the beaches seem to be pretty packed with tourists. Really appreciate this last taste of summer by the seaside after spending the holidays discovering some (awesomely pretty) cities like New York and London ! The world is beautiful xx

So this is London! :)

Parliament House, Westminster and the Big Ben

Strangely enough, this has been my first time visiting London…despite having been at Heathrow for connections A LOT of times. I finally compensated with a long holiday allowing me to discover so much of it. The charm of the city instantly got me and I came home with many great memories and quite a few souvenir buys too (well, you know me :D ). I am so happy of having tons of new pictures to share that I literally don’t know where to start from, so let’s begin with my favorite moment … the walk to the Big Ben :) Yes, because I walked to go pretty much everywhere except for the Shard building which was too far away from my place (panoramic pictures coming soon) and for taking a doubledecker bus the first day cause I was too excited to be there and it has been super fun. For all the rest of the time, the good traveller WALKS to places … it’s the best way to make sure you are not missing anything along the way in my opinion. Also, at the end of the day you really deserve that fish and chips. So here are my first London pics for the blog :) You might have already seen some on instagram and if you follow me there (@faithiephotography) you know there is so much more to come :) Enjoy xx
