Gold Coast nostalgia :)

Surfers Paradise Promenade

GOLD COAST, AUSTRALIA – The arrival of summer in Europe makes me inevitably think* about the place that does summer like no other, Queensland! (*not that I needed yet another excuse to think about it all the time, honestly) :) These images are from the gorgeous and vibrant seaside promenade in Surfers Paradise :) Enjoy

A breeze of fresh Pacific Ocean air

Surfers Paradise beachSURFERS PARADISE, AUSTRALIA – The sand between your toes, a tropical sky above your head, pacific ocean’s waves crashing next to you and a wide endless empty beach to walk on for hours…… breathe it all in!

Les pieds dans la sable, un ciel tropical au dessus de vous, les vagues de l’Océan Pacifique qui s’écrasent à côté et une plage immense et sans fin sur laquelle marcher pendant des heures et des heures….. respirez!

Sydney Circular Quay by night

Shining sailing boats in Sydney Harbour

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA – These days the Vivid Sydney festival is on and I am in a serious state of daydreaming to be back to my favorite place in the world :) These images were shot last December and the fireworks are from NYE 2015. I do realise it’s May now but beauty never gets old, right? In this case, the beauty of all the bright lights shining through Sydney’s nights.

Enjoy :) xx

Standing in front of your dreams

Photographer girl aka me standing alone in front of the steps of the Opera House in Sydney

Shooting the Sydney Opera House with hardly any people there…. priceless !

I was seriously surprised of having the Opera House all for myself in this (extremely short) moment without any crowd.

The fact that there were approximately 500° C under the sunlight might have had something to do with it but to me this moment was just perfect :) SYDNEY I LOVE YOU

Sydney Royal Botanic Garden: part 1

Glorious golden light with sun shining behind a tree in Sydney Royal Botanics Gardens

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA – Walking around the Royal Botanic Garden in Sydney at golden hour is so dreamy and interesting. You’ll see lots of local trees and plants that are not very commonly found overseas: from gum trees to bottlebrush, to huge ferns and special varieties of tropical palm trees from QLD, to the incredibly prehistoric-looking half-fallen tree below in the photos. The atmosphere is of course as laid back as you would expect it to be from an Australian city park :) I especially loved the contrast between the wild-looking nature and the skyscrapers in the background that seems to pop up all the time while walking along. Add to this the beautiful golden tones of a powerful ozzy sun (powerful even at dusk) and here it is :) My recipe for a traveller’s dream exploration of the city park ! xx

Queensland: fulfill your nature loving soul Part II

Surfers Paradise beach lifeguard hut 35

GOLD COAST, QUEENSLAND – Of course, the Part I of this post was only a tiny preview of the MANY Queensland loving photos that fill up my hard disk. Despite the places I have had the chance to visit afterwards, I am still obsessing over these pristine beaches and subtropical goodness more than anything :) There’s nothing like Australia, they say… for a reason ! :)
