The Shard of Glass, panoramic view over London #shardview

Panoramic view of the Tower Bridge in London from the Shard building

As a BIG fan of skyscrapers with 360° observation decks, I couldn’t miss on the opportunity of a visit up the Shard of Glass Ā in London :) The view over the entire city and all of its endless landmarksĀ is impressive and I highly recommend the experience to anybody visiting London. You can book online your Shard Viewing Gallery ticketĀ in advance so that it willĀ be a bit cheaper than at the counter on the day but, as it is ideal to visit it on a sunny day, I would suggestĀ you could simply go there as soon as the sky looks good enough during your trip… I did my best to find the proper time to visit it and scheduled it on a nice blue skied day but by the time I reached the place a storm was already approaching :P Changeable weather! So here are the pictures of the #shardviewĀ :) Enjoy xxx

So this is London! :)

Parliament House, Westminster and the Big Ben

Strangely enough, this has beenĀ my first time visiting London…despite having been at Heathrow for connections A LOT of times. I finally compensated with a long holiday allowing me to discover so much of it. The charm of the city instantly got me and I came home with many great memories and quite a few souvenir buys too (well, you know meĀ :D ). I am so happy of having tons ofĀ new pictures to share that I literally don’t knowĀ where to start from, so let’s begin with my favorite moment … the walk to the Big Ben :) Yes, because I walked to go pretty much everywhere except forĀ the Shard building which was too far away from my place (panoramic pictures coming soon) and for taking a doubledecker bus the first day cause I was too excited to be thereĀ and it has been super fun. For all the rest of the time, the good traveller WALKS to places … it’s the bestĀ way to make sure you are not missing anything along the way in my opinion. Also, at the end of the day you really deserve that fish and chips.Ā So here are my first London pics for the blog :) You might haveĀ already seen someĀ on instagram and if you follow me there (@faithiephotography) you know there is so much more to come :) Enjoy xx

Sydney, Australia: the Bondi effect

Gorgeous weather in Bondi beach in Sydney, Australia I call it the Bondi effect. It’s that feeling that you have when you are travelling somewhere new and just happen to run into one of those places that make you realize what life really is about, so much that you never want to leave. Ever. The sense of freedom and overwhelming beauty that surrounds you is something a human being couldn’t ever forget. The energy and excitement of the place is just incredible and if you are the type of person who feels deeply connected to nature and is particularly sensitive to the beauty of majestic landscapes, then there is nothing like Australia for you.

Times Square NY, summer days in the Big Apple

Sunny colorful Times Square

Loved Times Square under a perfect blue sky ! I visited NY in June and the weather was pretty perfect, I had a few overcast days for the mandatory moody urban pics and some bright blue skies to keep me happy :) My favorite places to eat (aka refilling with energy to walk some more and take more pictures) were the Rockefeller CafĆ© and a little place called Paris Baguette (as French resident I couldn’t ignore a place with such name :D ) for healthy little sandwiches on the go :) The ultimate best experience has been going on top of the Rockfeller centre to see a breathtaking view of the whole Manhattan and even the Statue of Liberty :) Enjoy the images xx

Manly Beach, Sydney :)

Sailing boat in Manly bay in Sydney Australia

Manly Beach in Sydney is the first Aussie beach I have ever been to :) it has been a pretty epic moment for me and I will always consider Manly as “my” Australian beach. When I was there it was (supposed to be) winter but the weather was warm and lovely and feeling more similar to a European spring than a real winter … nature is beautiful down under !Enjoy :) xx

“When I’m in New York….

48th Street road sign in Manhattan New York
…I just want to walk down the street and feel this thing, like I’m in a movie.” ~Ryan Adams

I’m back from a short 4 days photo trip in NYC ! It was my first time in the USA, which makes me extremely happy to say I have now been to Europe, Australia, Asia AND America :) (At this stage I start feeling I should add a Cape Town trip to the travel wishlist toĀ see a bit of Africa too :) )Ā  So these are the first few pics of the streets of NYC that I have walked along these days :) The last day I was about to jump on the doubledecker bus to make sure I visited all the most important sites across the Downtown and Uptown ManhattanĀ but when I read their guide I realised I had already walked across all the streets the bus goes to ….. so I think, a good traveller just KEEPS WALKINGĀ :)
